ENS GENIE

Your wish is granted! 🧞‍♂️💫

ENS GENIE is a decentralized location and broker service for safekeeping ens names. We were inspired by ensfairy and exist as an alternative because they can't keep them all and often let them expire. Here you can send us names as we do our best to make sure they get to the rightful owner. You can donate to us at ensgenie.eth to help us safekeep names. Or even extend the names yourselves! Thank you!

FAQ

Where and how can I send you ens names?

You can send us ens names directly to us at ensgenie.eth with the offical ENS Domains website, Grails, Name Whisper or OpenSea.

What names do you accept?

You can send us any names you want but we recommend only sending us important names you what us to safeguard and don't want others to buy up and price high for owners.

How long do you keep names?

As long as we can. Please don't be offended if we are unable to extend a name. Your donations greatly help us continue to extend names and we also highly recommend you extend names yourself as well!

Do you charge for transfering names?

Not always it is case-by-case basis but on average we will ask for a small holding and transfer fee to recoup expenses from safeguarding and transfering names. It's not cheap to hold these and you help us out a lot by donating and extending names yourself. We currently do not have funding and this just comes out of the goodness of our hearts and our pockets.

Do you price names?

We generally never price names unless explicitly directed by the owner of the name or if we need to recoup expenses for something. We are not a marketplace.

You have my name how can I get it?

Just email us at contact@ensgenie.com or send us a DM on X. If you can prove it's you or you officially represent the owner of the name we will discuss transferring it over to you. Thank you!

Why did you make this?

We love ens and understand the importance of owning your own name. We strongly believe in the sovereignty of online identity and it being a part of our future. As buyers, collectors and traders of ens names we saw lots of names that were of well-known people like musicians and celebrities, etc and didn't want them to be registered long-term and be unavailable or priced high for rightful owners. We still believe in and understand the free marketplace of trading names but we wanted to help out in securing names for real people and entities. We loved what ensfairy was doing but they can't keep all their names and let lots of them expire including well-known people. We wanted a place that was more decentralized where the community can help and where we can all assist in saving names for people.

How can I donate?

You can donate to us at ensgenie.eth (Ethereum or USDC preferred). This helps us recoup expenses, time, energy and holding and extending names immensely. Thank you for your help and generosity!
